The redundant/external E620 power supply provides redundant power and/or an additional 398 watts of PoE (Power over Ethernet) power to each of the two supported switches simultaneously. Ideal for VoIP environments, the E620 solution provides the required RPS and PoE power in many other customer environments where highly available power is a must. The switch-over from a failing internal power supply to the 620 power supply is instantaneous and completely transparent. Additionally, the 620 can protect against a power failure by being connected to a different main power supply than the switch. The 620 supports the HP E3500 series, as well as E6200 switches.
