This orange blinking usually indicates a system error: corrupted DSM partition, degraded RAID volume, lost configuration, or firmware reinstallation needed. This issue is often resolved by resetting the Synology NAS (reset mode 1 or mode 2) and cleanly reinstalling DSM via Synology Assistant from a PC. This type of failure is well documented in the NAS community and does not necessarily mean the hardware is irreparable.
